Volunteer Drivers Needed
As you may know, we at the Humane Society have some wonderful partners around the area that contribute to the health and well-being of the animals that we care for.
2006 brought us a grant from PETsMART Charities to fund the spay/neuter costs of our animals. In addition, a couple of local veterinary offices regularly provide these services, too. Nowadays, all eligible dogs and cats are sterilized before they leave the shelter.
That's where we need your help. We need volunteers to drive from time to time. Generally speaking, the route includes stops at Palmyra Animal Hospital, Macedon Veterinary Care and/or PETsMART in Webster. The hours are roughly 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM (less if there are fewer stops) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You'll need a valid driver's license.
With your car, you may claim $0.14 per mile on your taxes. Or, you're welcome to drive our van.*
* Requires license verification from our insurance carrier.
