Thursday, May 1, starts the annual Paws for A Cause campaign. Paw prints to support the Humane Society of Wayne County will be on sale in and around Wayne County at all participating veterinary clinics, the shelter, and at many stores and businesses. In addition, volunteers will be selling Paws at several locations. When you see one of these volunteers, walk up to them and give them a dollar and they will give you a Paw.
Paws are sold for a dollar each and the donor may honor a special human or pet by writing their name on the Paw. The Paw will be displayed throughout the month of May at the shelter or the veterinary clinic where the Paw is purchased.
It's not too late to volunteer! To help, call Andi Meyer at 986-1287 or Marge Laws at 986-4320. New to volunteering at HSWC? Not to worry! New volunteers will be teamed with the more experienced. Come out and help the animals!
Here's a list of business and veterinarians that are helping us this year:
| Local businesses | Participating vets |
| Bob's Big M, Wolcott | Lyons Veterinary Clinic |
| Breen's, Palmyra | Macedon Veterinary Care |
| Breen's, Williamson | Newark Veterinary Hospital |

| Palmyra Country Max | Walworth Animal Hospital |
